Lots of New Fabric and Classes, Oh My!
Wow, what a winter we have had! It seems to be the topic of conversation everywhere. It has also created some severe cases of CABIN FEVER. Here are a few of my ideas for coping:
1. Find a NEW project using sunny fabrics.
2. Discover an OLD project by rummaging through your studio (save the spring cleaning for later).
3. CHALLENGE yourself by making half-square triangles in a different way (I can think of four ways right off the bat).
4. CALL A QUILTING SISTER and find out what they are working on. ASK if they could use some help.
5. LAUGH OUT LOUD over a crazy mistake, project, or situation you have done or been involved in.
6. GET OUT by taking a brisk walk or drive to Patchwork Quilts.
I will be going to a Quilt Retreat the middle of March and I’m very excited! It will be so much fun as it’s at Sleeping Child Hot Springs just south of Hamilton with lots of wonderful quilting friends. John thinks I should try underwater quilting while I’m there. Guess it has something to do with the Underwater Basket Weaving class he thinks I took in college. Speaking of John, don’t be surprised if he does something outrageous while I’m gone; perhaps a big sale at Patches or giving away the farm. You just never know about him!

Pack It In
Getting ready for a trip? Then our Pack It In class is just for you. These bags will help you be so organized. They are functional, cute, and fun to make. We will make the medium size one in this class. Please see Marilyn's instruction sheet for class preparation. Sign up today (on our website) or at Patches to make sure you don't miss out on this class which is scheduled for Saturday, March 11th.
The Momma Mia class will be held on Saturday, March 25th. Marilyn will teach you how to make this great purse/tote! Hers is always ready to go shop hopping. It's very sturdy with lots of pockets. Looks pretty snazzy too! We still have a few openings so make sure to sign up today (on our website) or at Patches.
Join us for Pajama Party on Friday, March 10th. Lots of fun and a fantastic dinner!
These past few days have given us some sunshine to remind us winter cannot last forever. I hope you all can warm up our days by stopping in soon. You will always find a warm smile, hug, and new spring fabrics here at Patches. We have missed you!
